Hi! I have a brilliant idea. I love the dietbet, and have many friends and family who are successful. My problem is (though this is not a problem at all), is I don't need to lose weight. I think there should be a version of dietbet, where you bet on the distance you're going to run each day/week/month whatever. If I say I'll run 30 miles this week, there's always a chance that things happen and you don't get out, so you lose the bet. I think this could be very successful and I have many friends who would definitely sign up. This is also great incentive if coupled with dietbet as a way of exercising. There is no current app like this that exists. GymPact is the closest, but 1)the app stinks and is poorly ran, and 2) it's based on # of times you exercise that week, not on distance/miles ran.
We have an update! We are currently running a StepBet Beta game that works with FitBit to encourage players to get stepping. We have thus far run two test games and hope to do another in October.
